Job description

Position Overview:

As the Fleet Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency by effectively utilizing equipment and available resources. Your focus will be ensuring the timely and scheduled movement of freight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage workload allocations to optimize the utilization of all assets.
  • Oversee daily control and distribution of Pick Up and Delivery (PUD) fleet to meet customer schedules.
  • Communicate status updates regarding pickups and deliveries to both internal teams and external customers as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with the Australian Dangerous Goods Code for vehicles designated to handle hazardous materials.
  • Verify that drivers assigned to transport bulk hazardous materials possess the required licenses.
  • Support adherence to operational procedures and contribute to the continuous development of systems aligned with the Toll Management System.
  • Ensure all employees and contractors strictly follow established business procedures and safety practices.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in logistics and/or supply chain environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks effectively and lead teams to successful outcomes.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to understand their perspective.
  • Innovative thinker with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Ability to work independently and perform well under pressure.
  • Valid driver's license is essential.
  • Qualifications in Transport & Distribution or logistics are favorable but not mandatory.
