About the Position
Join one of the largest essential service providers across Australia and New Zealand with Ventia, a company with over 35 years of experience collaborating with Defence. With a new contract starting in 2024 for 6+2+2 years, Ventia is inviting applications for the role of Firefighter in East Sale, Victoria. This role involves engaging in Fire and Rescue operations including airfield, structural, and bushfire response.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain readiness for operations following established procedures.
- Complete all administrative tasks related to firefighting duties.
- Adhere strictly to operational health and safety protocols.
- Participate in training sessions and drills to sustain operational preparedness.
Eligibility and Special Requirements
Candidates must be Australian citizens capable of obtaining and retaining a Defence Security Clearance up to Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) level. The role requires passing an Australian Federal Police check and successfully completing a CASA Basic Class 2 pre-employment medical examination.
Qualifications
- PUA20622 Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations).
- PUA30619 Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations).
- Possession of a current heavy rigid (HR) driver's licence.
