Finishing Supervisor

About the Role

Walls Construction is looking for an experienced Finishing Supervisor to join our team based in Dublin, working on high-quality residential projects such as housing and apartment developments. The ideal candidate will come from a carpentry background with trade qualifications and possess keen attention to detail alongside proven expertise managing finishing phases.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all finishing trades including carpentry, joinery, drylining, painting, tiling, flooring, kitchens, wardrobes, and final fit-out operations.
• Supervise subcontractors ensuring safe, timely, and specification-compliant completion of works.
• Guarantee all finishes meet Walls Construction's quality standards as well as client expectations.
• Conduct snagging inspections, handle snag lists efficiently, and ensure prompt resolution of defects.
• Liaise closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.
• Track progress against programme timelines, reporting any issues or delays promptly.
• Ensure adherence to Health & Safety regulations and internal procedures throughout the finishing stages.
• Keep accurate records of site inspections and progress updates.
• Support handover activities including final inspections and client walkthroughs.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of site management experience.
• Background with main contractors on large-scale structural, external, and groundwork projects across sectors such as commercial, mixed-use, residential, pharmaceutical, or data centres.
• Possess a third-level qualification or relevant trade qualifications with excellent knowledge of trades.
• Proven track record as a Finishing Supervisor or Senior Carpenter within residential construction.
• Deep understanding of finishing trades and experience delivering high-end residential finishes.
• Competence in interpreting drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Thorough knowledge of Irish building regulations and health and safety standards.
• Capacity to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple trades concurrently.
