Role overview

CEVA Logistics is seeking a Financial Business Analyst in Canada to evaluate business data, publish performance insights, and track trends across products, segments, and functions. The role focuses on financial and operational analysis to uncover efficiency opportunities, reduce costs, and support improvements in day-to-day processes. The successful candidate will work in line with the company’s guiding principles and core values.

What you’ll do

  • Check and maintain the quality of data used for reporting and analysis.
  • Investigate ways to improve processes across different CEVA functions and product lines.
  • Spot compliance gaps and improvement opportunities, including performance measurement, project prioritization, and cost control with carriers, customers, vendors, and internal subsidiaries.
  • Review transportation-related rates and costs where relevant.
  • Build project proposals that clearly explain supply chain solutions to customers and internal teams.
  • Prepare project updates and executive-level presentations when required.
  • Define key performance indicators for projects and produce monthly station and/or product performance reports.
  • Work with internal teams and external customers to collect information and support all activities related to supply chain performance measurement.

Skills and capabilities

The role calls for strong financial analysis, advanced Excel ability, and confidence working with Power BI for modeling and reporting. You should be able to interpret business publications, technical documents, and regulations; document processes clearly; and create accurate reports, charts, graphs, and business correspondence. Experience with logistics software or warehouse management systems is valuable, along with knowledge of warehouse operations and freight/logistics optimization. Success in this role also depends on strong teamwork, independent problem-solving, time management, presentation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with varied internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, or another business-related field, or an equivalent mix of education and professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Power BI experience is preferred, especially for data modeling and report creation; training may be provided.
  • Strong financial analytical ability, including quantitative analysis, simulation modeling, mathematical modeling, and statistical methods such as probability distributions, correlation, and data sampling.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet-based tools, and role-specific software.
  • Basic understanding of linear programming.
  • Ability to use logistics-related software or warehouse management systems.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Strong planning, organization, collaboration, decision-making, time management, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team with limited supervision.
  • Professional approach to working with colleagues, customers, vendors, and senior leadership.
