About the Role

We are searching for a Fertilizer Trader to join a prominent global commodity trading firm based in Singapore, specializing in physical commodity transactions within Asian markets. This position offers the opportunity to build independent business streams in fertilizers and related raw materials, contributing significantly to the company's growth.

The company is an international commodity trading enterprise headquartered in Singapore, with a network of offices spanning China, Vietnam, Dubai, Geneva, India, and East Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in physical commodity trading including fertilizers, fertilizer raw materials, chemicals, minerals, petrochemicals, and industrial raw materials with a focus on Asian markets.
• Develop and sustain personal client desks driving revenue and profitability in the physical commodity sector while formulating trading strategies aligned with medium and long-term development goals.
• Construct comprehensive purchase and sales networks from start to finish.
• Identify opportunities for value addition and branding, collaborating closely with management on new product introductions, geographic expansions, and pricing strategies.
• Seek out new business avenues and augment trade volumes.
• Support initiatives related to other potential standalone products or spot market opportunities.
• Negotiate and finalize trades within the designated commodity segment ensuring timely, accurate, and profitable trade flow with evaluation and improvement proposals for trading processes.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships within target markets to enhance company visibility and branding.
• Conduct thorough market research, monitor market trends, and develop strategies to grow the physical commodities business globally.
• Coordinate with back office and operations teams to ensure smooth logistics and end-to-end supply chain management of the traded commodities.

Educational and Professional Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in fertilizer trading.
