Position Overview
The F&B Hostess plays a pivotal role in shaping the first impression guests have upon arrival, greeting them warmly, managing bookings, coordinating seating, and supporting the overall restaurant operation. This role demands outstanding service aptitude, strong communication, and effective organization to ensure guests enjoy a seamless dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet arriving guests courteously and guide them to their tables.
- Oversee reservations, waiting lists, and table allocations efficiently.
- Handle incoming calls and guest queries with professionalism.
- Collaborate with servers and management to optimize seating arrangements.
- Inform guests about daily specials, promotions, and waiting time estimates.
- Maintain a tidy and orderly hostess reception area.
- Address guest feedback, complaints, or special requests respectfully and escalate when needed.
- Monitor the availability of tables and manage turnover rates.
- Provide personalized attention to VIP guests and special events.
- Adhere to professional appearance standards and uphold company service guidelines.
Qualifications
- Completion of high school or equivalent education.
- Preferably previous experience in hospitality, restaurants, or a customer service role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Well-groomed with professional demeanor.
- Ability to maintain composure and efficiency under high-pressure, fast-paced conditions.
- Basic familiarity with computer systems and reservation software.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is beneficial.
