Job description
Position Summary
Join Fraser Coast Regional Council as a Facilities Officer within the Property Works & Services team, responsible for maintaining and improving various council buildings including administrative, public, and heritage-listed sites across the Fraser Coast region. This is a permanent full-time role based in Maryborough, Queensland.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform building inspections and generate asset condition reports along with required documentation.
- Develop, implement, and review forecasts, maintenance schedules, and asset management plans.
- Support management of operational and capital budgets related to building maintenance and capital works projects.
- Prepare quotation and tender documents and oversee contract administration.
- Coordinate with contractors and tradespeople as necessary.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience interpreting and applying building codes, heritage conservation standards, and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to conduct inspections, prepare reports, and estimate costs accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Valid driver’s licence and construction induction white card.
- Desirable: AQF Level 5 qualification or higher in construction or a related discipline.

Additional Information
Employment level: Stream A Level 4 with remuneration of $90,267 plus superannuation, including a 9-day fortnight work schedule for better work-life balance.
