Role Overview

At Rosewood Red Sea, the Explorer Associate contributes to crafting unforgettable family experiences by fostering an environment where children are free to explore, imagine, and discover. This role involves delivering engaging, creative, and wellness-based activities, ensuring that each child experiences personalized care within a safe, warm, and inspiring setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet children and their families with genuine warmth and enthusiastic hospitality.
  • Design and lead a variety of recreational, educational, cultural, creative, and wellness activities appropriate for different age groups.
  • Provide continuous supervision to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment of all children.
  • Offer professional childcare and babysitting services upon request, strictly adhering to Rosewood's safeguarding policies and parents' instructions.
  • Understand each child's preferences to deliver personalized and meaningful experiences that encourage active participation.
  • Prepare all necessary materials and maintain the Explorer area in a clean, organized, and safe manner, ready to welcome guests.
  • Manage accurate child registration processes, including attendance and sign-in/sign-out documentation.
  • Maintain toys, games, and activity equipment ensuring they are in excellent condition, and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Support family events, seasonal celebrations, and activities throughout the resort.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues consistent with Rosewood's Relationship Hospitality philosophy.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Preferably hold a Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Hospitality, Recreation, Education, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience engaging with children in luxury hotel kids clubs, childcare centers, nurseries, schools, summer camps, or recreational settings.
  • Proven ability to plan and conduct age-appropriate recreational and educational activities.
  • Prior professional experience in childcare or babysitting is highly valued.
  • Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding standards, and safety practices.
  • Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
  • Possess a friendly, energetic demeanor with patience and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills combined with a positive, service-focused approach.
  • Fluency in spoken English is required; additional language skills are advantageous.
