Examinations Invigilator

Job Overview

Cheshire College - South & West is recruiting part-time Examinations Invigilators to support the Examinations Department during critical periods of the examination calendar. Positions are available at multiple campus locations including Crewe, Ellesmere Port, and Chester. The hourly wage is £12.88. Invigilators will also have the opportunity to undertake additional training to become readers and scribes for access arrangements.

Primary Duties

• Supervise both internal and external exams according to the schedule.
• Maintain strict security of all confidential exam materials and comply with the guidelines set by JCQ and awarding bodies.
• Ensure the safety and welfare of children and young people during examinations.

Candidate Requirements

• GCSE Grade C (4/5) or higher in English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications.
• A solid understanding of diversity, equality, and inclusion principles in educational and work settings.
• Strong organizational capabilities to effectively manage exam procedures.
• Competency with digital technologies at a suitable level for the role.
