About the Role
NTU International is developing a proposal for the project titled "Communication outreach and engagement on EU policies in North Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf". To support this, a pool of qualified Non-Key Experts (Senior and Junior) will be established for short-term, on-demand roles over a 36-month project period. The role of Senior Non-Key Expert - Events Manager focuses on providing strategic, technical, and logistical communication assistance to DG MENA, facilitating day-to-day activities aimed at enhancing the visibility and impact of the European Union’s policies and partnerships across the mentioned regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, plan, and execute conferences, seminars, workshops, press events, and community outreach programs.
- Handle all logistical components of institutional events, including coordination of venues, registration of participants, and management of supplier relationships.
- Manage the scheduling of events, including speaker and moderator arrangements, as well as coordination with technical service providers.
- Provide support for protocol matters and facilitate the involvement of senior EU officials, partner organizations, and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the event operations on site to ensure efficient execution.
- Coordinate communication materials and distribute participant information related to events.
- Assist with the post-event activities such as reporting, evaluation, and capturing lessons for future improvement.
- Collaborate closely with communication teams, service providers, and DG MENA stakeholders to guarantee successful event delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
- A university degree or comparable professional experience in event management, communications, or hospitality.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of French and/or Arabic is advantageous.
Experience
- At least 5 years of broad experience in event organization and logistics.
- A minimum of 3 years specifically managing institutional or communication events.
