About the Company

The Role
The Estimator will be pivotal during the pre-construction phase, tasked with generating precise and competitive cost estimates to facilitate successful tender submissions. This position involves close collaboration with commercial and operational teams to evaluate tender documents, highlight risks and opportunities, and aid in securing new projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects.
- Evaluate and interpret tender documentation and project specifications.
- Identify and assess commercial risks and potential opportunities within project scopes.
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to gather competitive quotations.
- Develop bills of quantities and pricing documents.
- Coordinate with commercial and delivery teams to ensure seamless project handover.
- Participate in pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience as an Estimator in civil engineering or infrastructure sectors.
- Comprehensive understanding of infrastructure, drainage, earthworks, and highways projects.
- Competent in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, numerical reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Proactive, well-organized, and self-driven work style.
Desirable Qualifications
- Possession of a CSCS Card.
- Valid UK driving license with access to a personal vehicle.
