Topline Roofing Solutions is on the lookout for a skilled Estimator to become a vital part of their expanding team. The individual will be responsible for producing precise and competitive cost estimates covering both metal and tiled roofing projects within residential and commercial construction sectors.

Primary Responsibilities

• Formulate detailed cost estimates for metal and tiled roofing assignments.
• Examine architectural designs, engineering plans, and project requirements thoroughly.
• Carry out exact roof measurements as well as material quantity calculations.
• Calculate costs related to roofing materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and additional tasks.
• Develop pricing quotations tailored for both residential and commercial projects.
• Estimate elements such as fascia, gutters, flashings, box gutters, drainage systems, roof ventilation, and associated roofing parts.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal team members effectively.
• Gather pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors when necessary.
• Analyze tender documents to detect any exclusions, risks, or unique project needs.
• Keep pricing schedules and estimates up to date.
• Assist with adjustments and updated quotations throughout the duration of projects.
• Guarantee that all estimates are accurate, competitive, and delivered within set deadlines.
• Provide comprehensive job handover details to operations and project management teams.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience working as a construction estimator.
• Strong familiarity with both metal and tiled roofing systems.
• Experience estimating residential and commercial roofing jobs is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specification documents.
• Excellent numerical abilities including precise measurement and material take-offs.
• Understanding of roofing materials, labor demands, and installation procedures.
• Keen attention to detail with high accuracy standards.
• Well-developed organizational and time-management capabilities.
• Skilled at managing multiple quotations and adhering to deadlines.
• Confident communication skills for liaising with builders, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with estimating, construction, or CRM software solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
• Ability to work autonomously while supporting team-oriented goals.

Experience with digital roof measurement or specialized estimating software will be an asset.
