Equipment Engineer (f/m/d)

Job Overview

The Equipment Engineer will be responsible for scheduling and overseeing maintenance activities, ensuring completion and acceptance of maintenance work. This role includes independent upkeep of complex machinery, conducting technical research, procurement of spare parts, and collaboration with external suppliers and service providers. The engineer will manage spare parts inventories and provide technical assistance on development projects aimed at optimizing processes and machinery. Additionally, the role involves optimizing current inspection and maintenance schedules, developing new maintenance specifications based on relevant regulations, and delivering training sessions for production staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor maintenance activities to ensure timely execution and quality standards.
• Perform independent maintenance and troubleshooting of complex equipment systems.
• Conduct technical research, obtain quotations, and manage ordering and operations with external vendors.
• Take charge of managing spare parts inventory and procurement.
• Offer technical support for projects focused on machine and process improvements.
• Revise and optimize existing maintenance and inspection plans to enhance reliability.
• Create new maintenance and inspection procedures in compliance with laws, directives, and regulations.
• Implement training programs for production personnel to ensure proper equipment handling and maintenance.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in mechatronics or electrical engineering, or alternatively certification as a state-certified electrical engineering technician.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in maintenance roles.
• Hands-on experience as an electrician.
• Extensive knowledge in maintaining machinery parks.
• Strong understanding of mechatronics and machine tools.
• Proficient in German and English languages.
