About the Finance Team

The finance team plays a vital role in analyzing Stripe's business performance and identifying growth opportunities. We are seeking an experienced Entity Controller to join our International Accounting group in Dublin. In this role, you will collaborate with business and financial partners, external stakeholders, and engineering teams to advance technical accounting and financial reporting processes in a fast-scaling global environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly financial close activities for US GAAP and local books, including balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules, flux analyses, and reporting deliverables.
• Lead the preparation of financial statements, technical memos, audit coordination, and presentations to the board during statutory audits.
• Maintain expertise in US GAAP and IFRS/FRS102 standards and produce relevant technical accounting documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Tax, Transfer Pricing, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, and Legal teams on diverse initiatives.
• Manage finance outsourcing partners to ensure timely and accurate compliance and filings.
• Improve processes through automation and simplification to enhance operational efficiency.
• Keep current with changes in accounting and tax regulations applicable in Ireland.
• Supervise preparation and review of direct and indirect tax returns.

Candidate Profile

• At least 8 years of accounting experience, ideally with audit training (preferably from a Big 4 firm) and industry exposure.
• Proficient with accounting systems such as Oracle or equivalents.
• Experience managing large-scale audits and tax filings.
• Deep understanding of US GAAP and FRS102/IFRS accounting standards.
• Proven project management skills handling cross-departmental efforts.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace.
• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Experience with consolidation accounting processes.
• Educational background in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated and proactive approach to work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the payments, fintech, or financial services sectors.
• Experience working in a rapidly growing technology environment.
• Knowledge of Hubble reporting tools and SQL is advantageous.

Work Arrangement

Employees assigned to offices, including Dublin, are expected to spend at least half of their work time on-site monthly, with some roles requiring full on-site presence to support collaboration and operational needs. Exact requirements depend on team and location.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position in Dublin is approximately €79,100 to €118,700, subject to variation based on the specific location, experience, and qualifications. Compensation packages may include equity, bonuses, retirement plans, health insurance, and wellness benefits. Specific details and additional benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
