About The Opportunity
We are a progressive recruitment agency focused on roles within energy, sustainability, and infrastructure, collaborating with top UK companies to hire impactful professionals. Our clients include utilities, industrial manufacturers, public sector bodies, and renewable energy developers. We seek consultants skilled in technical and commercial aspects to promote decarbonization, enhance energy efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform detailed on-site energy audits at commercial, industrial, and public sector locations to uncover inefficiencies and potential savings.
- Use building energy modeling tools such as SBEM, IES VE, or EnergyPlus to analyze consumption patterns and calculate return on investment for proposed upgrades.
- Create comprehensive, technically sound proposals and feasibility studies that comply with Net Zero objectives, ESOS, SECR, and Part L regulations.
- Work closely with engineering and financial teams to develop retrofit strategies including HVAC improvements, lighting upgrades, insulation, and renewable energy integration.
- Promote client implementation of smart metering, demand-side response, and carbon reporting software platforms.
- Assist in post-installation verification, track performance, and support ongoing enhancement of energy management systems.
Skills & Qualifications
- Accreditation as an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) assessor.
- Experience with SECR (Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting).
- Knowledge of ESOS Phase 3 compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with building energy modeling (BEM) software.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills to handle energy-related data analysis.
- Understanding of carbon accounting standards including the GHG Protocol.
- Preferred certifications: LEED or BREEAM.
- Familiarity with CIBSE TM54 or TM46 methodologies.
- Experience using smart metering or Internet of Things (IoT) energy monitoring systems.
