Role Description

The Electrician is accountable for the upkeep, repair, installation, and modification of all electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safety and optimal operation. Duties emphasize adherence to preventive maintenance schedules and prompt response to health and safety concerns.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow safe work and fire safety procedures diligently.
• Attend immediately to all work requests impacting health and safety.
• Respond courteously and efficiently to guest electrical requests.
• Operate, maintain, and repair all electrical equipment comprehensively.
• Maintain peak performance of electrical systems through scheduled preventive maintenance and monitoring.
• Analyze equipment usage and enhance energy efficiency.
• Complete all assigned work orders meticulously.
• Keep a daily log detailing issues, resolutions, and activities.
• Maintain accurate equipment catalogs and tagging records.
• Engage actively in departmental meetings to provide feedback and improvement ideas.
• Maintain health and safety documentation relevant to assigned areas.
• Identify, report, and document potential safety hazards promptly.
• Participate in emergency response teams as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Preferably holds a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Must possess an electrician certification.
• Minimum of five years’ verifiable commercial electrician experience.
• Certification in Material Handling Equipment operation is required as applicable.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to read and understand safety procedures, maintenance instructions, technical manuals, and operational protocols.
• Proficient in writing routine reports and professional correspondence.
• Effective oral communication skills to address colleagues and customers confidently.
• Skilled in problem definition, data collection, fact establishment, and deriving valid conclusions.
• Able to interpret diverse technical instructions involving mathematical or diagrammatic representations and handle complex variables.
