Overview

We are seeking an experienced EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Engineer or Manager to spearhead the development, execution, and ongoing enhancement of our environmental and safety management framework. The position focuses on ensuring compliance with both local and international standards, minimizing workplace risks, advancing sustainability efforts, and protecting personnel and company resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve the company's EHS management system, including drafting and updating safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and policy documents.
  • Perform workplace risk assessments and hazard inspections; implement and monitor corrective actions to ensure thorough resolution.
  • Organize and manage EHS training programs covering safety orientations, specialized skill sessions, and emergency response drills; keep detailed training and certification records.
  • Oversee environmental compliance by tracking emissions and waste management; engage in environmental impact evaluations; promote energy-saving, emission reduction, and pollution-control initiatives.
  • Lead investigation of incidents and accidents, conduct root cause analyses, recommend corrective/preventive measures, and coordinate emergency preparedness activities.
  • Develop and monitor EHS performance metrics, collect relevant data regularly, prepare comprehensive reports, and communicate progress to leadership.
  • Maintain active engagement with regulatory bodies, industry groups, and external agencies; stay updated with regulatory changes to ensure full compliance.
  • Provide support for overseas projects or branches by adapting EHS practices to local regulations, performing site audits, and offering technical guidance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience managing EHS functions within manufacturing, electronics, chemical, energy, or related sectors.
  • Preference for candidates with experience handling EHS for international projects or multinational settings, with solid knowledge of global EHS regulations.

Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and similar international management standards; internal auditor certification is advantageous.
  • Expertise in risk assessment methodologies including JSA and HAZOP.
  • Strong skills in safety training facilitation, emergency management, and incident investigation.
  • Competent in drafting EHS documentation, report generation, and data analysis independently.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Effective communicator capable of collaborating across departments, overseas teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical thinker with problem-solving aptitude; able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient English communication skills, both written and spoken; Chinese language skills a plus if supporting China-related business.
  • High personal accountability, team-oriented attitude, and commitment to continual improvement.
