About the Role
Uniting Kids Care Early Learning Springwood has been providing early childhood education and childcare for over two decades, including a preschool program for children aged two to five years. Located in the peaceful surroundings of the Springwood Uniting Church near Buttenshaw Park, the service offers inviting indoor learning spaces and well-designed outdoor environments to encourage children's exploration and engagement.
We are currently seeking a qualified Certificate III Educator for a permanent full-time position to join our dedicated team and contribute to the care and education of our young learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster constructive relationships that support the wellbeing and development of children, their families, and the community.
- Create and facilitate play-based learning environments tailored to children's unique interests, strengths, and abilities.
- Observe and assess children’s development, documenting learning progress aligned with national outcomes.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of stimulating educational programs and curricula.
- Support inclusive learning practices that meet the needs of children with diverse developmental requirements.
- Work collaboratively within a skilled team to cultivate a positive preschool culture.
Candidate Requirements
- Completion of Certificate III in Early Childhood Education with relevant practical experience preferred.
- At least two years’ experience in early childhood education settings.
- Proven expertise in planning and programming educational activities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the National Quality Standards (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and Child Safe Standards.
- Current First Aid and Child Protection certifications.
- Enthusiastic about working with preschool-aged children and fostering their learning and development.
- Demonstrated ability in creating learning stories and supporting curriculum planning aligned with the EYLF.
- Strong communication skills suitable to engage with colleagues, families, and community members.
- A cooperative attitude and eagerness for ongoing professional growth.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage between $33 and $36.58 dependent on experience.
