Overview
We are seeking an Education Consultant to remotely contribute as a Document Specialist on a part-time contract basis. This role involves designing benchmark tasks centered around educational documents and visual content interpretation, assessing model performance on document understanding, and establishing grounded educational scenarios with objective outcomes and clear evaluation criteria. Work is flexible and independent, with potential for project extension based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop benchmark tasks that focus on educational documents including assessments, reports, and instructional materials.
- Assess machine learning model responses for accuracy, the quality of reasoning, and compliance with task instructions.
- Create objective scoring rubrics and define unambiguous ground-truth answers.
- Interpret diverse educational content such as charts, diagrams, worksheets, and academic documents.
- Deliver high-quality, structured outputs with meticulous attention to detail.
- Translate intricate educational information into well-defined evaluation frameworks.
- Manage workload independently while ensuring consistency, quality standards, and meeting deadlines.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience producing precise educational tasks and evaluations based on instructional content.
- Strong skills in developing scoring methodologies and understanding of educational materials.
- Ability to critically review and evaluate responses with adherence to instructions.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex academic materials including visual elements.
- Demonstrated detail orientation and capability to work autonomously.
Additional Information
- Position is remote and part-time, requiring 15 to 20 hours per week.
- Contract role with pay at $50 per hour.
- Flexibility in scheduling to fit independent contractor model.
- Possible project extensions contingent upon performance and project needs.
