Document Reviewer

Role overview

This remote contract role is focused on reviewing documents and data to support the training of advanced AI systems. The work contributes to improving how models interpret information, reason through tasks, and produce reliable outputs using high-quality real-world examples.

Core responsibilities

• Examine both structured and unstructured datasets carefully to ensure information is complete and accurate.
• Spot and report problems in data quality, consistency, and any privacy-related concerns involving personally identifiable information (PII).
• Tag, categorize, and when needed remove sensitive details to support privacy and compliance requirements.
• Work within defined rules, classification systems, and process steps for validating and organizing data.
• Carry out QA checks to confirm integrity and verify that outputs meet standards.
• Keep thorough logs of documents reviewed and actions completed so the process remains traceable.
• Coordinate with the client’s team and communicate observations, findings, and recommendations clearly in written and spoken form.

Required background

• Hands-on experience handling document review, auditing, annotation, redaction, or large-scale data classification.
• Strong precision and the ability to stay accurate during repetitive review tasks.
• Working knowledge of how to manage and safeguard PII.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting outcomes and working with teammates.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and operate within established taxonomies.
• Experience with QA or validation processes across sizable datasets.
• Capability to maintain speed while preserving accuracy in a remote setting.

Preferred experience

• Exposure to legal, compliance, privacy, auditing, or information security work.
• Prior involvement in data-focused AI or machine learning initiatives.
• Comfort using collaboration software and digital workflow tools.
