About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Dispenser to join the pharmacy team at one of our Boots UK stores located in Holt, England. This key position involves supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services safely and efficiently. You'll engage with patients, dispensing prescriptions, managing medicine supplies, and providing advice to promote informed health decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring the accurate and secure supply of medicines, including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and prescription collection.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals within the store to manage and deliver pharmacy services effectively.
• Offer patients advice on medicines and refer queries to pharmacists when necessary.
• Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to maintain safety and legal compliance in prescription handling.
• Stay informed about innovations and comply with operational procedures in the store.
• Assist patients with prescription management, supporting medication adherence and reducing waste through reliable repeat services.
• Utilize evolving in-store technologies aimed at improving dispensing processes to enhance patient safety and allow more patient interaction time.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Completion of Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or equivalent, or at least completion of the first year of an MPharm degree.
• Valid UK right to work status; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visa is not provided.
• Experience in community pharmacy is beneficial but not mandatory.

Additional Information

This role is based on-site within the UK; remote work is not an option, and applications without appropriate UK qualifications and right to work will not progress. Successful candidates must complete pre-employment checks, including DBS, PVG, or Access NI, depending on location.
