Role Overview

The Dispatcher acts as the central coordinator between drivers, clients, and operational schedules. Responsibilities include allocating assignments, tracking vehicle progress, resolving issues as they occur, and relaying necessary information to all parties.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently allocate and dispatch freight loads to appropriate drivers
• Monitor delivery vehicles and adjust plans in response to real-time changes
• Maintain professional and clear communication with both drivers and customers
• Manage incidents such as vehicle breakdowns, delays, and driver hours-of-service concerns promptly
• Maintain detailed documentation of load assignments, timing, and driver conditions

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in dispatch or logistics is advantageous, though training will be provided for suitable candidates
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and excellent at problem-solving
• Strong communication skills for interactions with drivers and clients
• Comfortable using dispatch or Transportation Management System (TMS) software along with basic computer applications
• Flexible availability including shift work and on-call duties
