Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and proactive Director of Talent Acquisition to spearhead the Talent Acquisition team for a client organization. This key role involves shaping and implementing a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy across the enterprise to meet workforce objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with the Chief Human Resources Officer to craft and execute talent acquisition strategies, workforce planning, and operational initiatives.
  • Establish and develop essential talent acquisition infrastructure including processes, operational playbooks, and regular reporting frameworks, primarily starting from a foundational level.
  • Lead, mentor, and actively develop a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists working within a matrix reporting structure, ensuring recruiting standards and operational discipline are consistently upheld.
  • Evaluate team capabilities and performance, instituting coaching, training, and performance management plans to elevate the team to high performance status.
  • Direct recruitment and onboarding of new Talent Acquisition Specialists, expanding the team by three new members to increase overall skills.
  • Engage hands-on in end-to-end recruitment processes alongside the team—sourcing, screening, and closing key roles to model best practices and support capacity during team scaling.
  • Design and oversee the behavioral interviewing program based on the "Ideal Team Player" model emphasizing humility, hunger, and intelligence, training the team in its consistent application.
  • Develop and enhance the Employer Brand and Talent Acquisition value proposition, create recruiting materials (career site content, social media, print, candidate communications), and lead critical talent acquisition programs such as referral, campus/internship, and alumni initiatives to fortify the candidate pipeline.
  • Maintain a proactive and diverse talent pipeline across regional markets.
  • Define recruiting KPIs and provide comprehensive reports on hiring outcomes, team performance, and infrastructure progress to senior HR leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on full-cycle recruitment experience, personally managing searches in addition to oversight responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with UKG software for human resources and talent acquisition functions is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience designing or significantly enhancing recruiting infrastructures, processes, or operational disciplines within a recruitment function.
  • Track record of coaching and managing teams to improve capabilities and results.
  • Proven ability in building employer brands, formulating value propositions, and managing recruitment marketing collateral and key talent acquisition programs like referrals and campus recruiting.
  • Experience managing teams in a matrix organizational structure with dotted-line reporting.
  • Strong partnership skills to collaborate strategically and operationally with senior HR leaders.
  • Expertise in designing or implementing behavioral interviewing programs.
  • Alignment with and ability to source based on the Ideal Team Player traits: humble, hungry, and smart.
  • Sound knowledge of employment laws and recruiting regulations across multiple states.

Benefits

  • Access to medical, dental, and vision insurance plans
  • 401k retirement savings plan
  • Company-funded life insurance plus short-term and long-term disability coverage
  • Paid vacation, sick leave, and flexible floating holidays
  • Participation in a wellness program
