About the Role
This is a senior leadership position in a prominent global professional services organization. As the Director within the Auckland Consulting practice, you will have a significant impact on the shape of business and public sector transformation across New Zealand and beyond. The working environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative, involving strategic projects with organizations from diverse sectors such as financial services, government agencies, utilities, and retail.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive the delivery and selling of comprehensive functional solutions in areas such as operating model design, process improvement, organizational change, and service design, typically situated at the intersection of business processes and technology.
- Lead and support complex change initiatives for clients, managing every aspect from stakeholder engagement to risk identification and project execution.
- Develop and maintain executive level client relationships, especially within government and regulated sectors.
- Identify, secure, and manage high-impact consulting engagements, ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and schedule expectations.
- Mentor and inspire consulting professionals, helping to build the practice’s capability and developing high-performing teams.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Australasia and the broader international network, expanding local offerings and introducing new solutions.
- Contribute to the design, marketing, and differentiation of client service offerings.
Candidate Profile
- At least ten years of senior-level experience in management consulting, delivering solutions in operating model design, performance enhancement, organizational change, and service design.
- Demonstrable ability to generate business, oversee successful consulting project delivery, and foster practice growth in digital and technology-enabled transformations.
- Proven leadership in building, motivating, and guiding diverse teams, with a collaborative approach to cross-team partnerships.
- Strong business development, client relationship management, program delivery, and strategic thinking skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and significant experience working with or within public sector organizations.
- Effective communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and presentation skills.
- A proactive and pragmatic approach, complemented by a sense of ownership and positivity.
