Role Overview
The NSW Reconstruction Authority is seeking a seasoned senior leader for the Director, Finance, Planning and Performance position based in Sydney. This integral role involves overseeing integrated finance, risk management, procurement, commercial, and performance functions that enable effective organizational outcomes and public accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and integrate finance, planning, and performance operations to maintain strong financial stewardship, governance, and organizational results.
- Manage strategic and business planning processes, ensuring budget alignment, clear performance metrics, and transparency for informed decision-making.
- Provide authoritative, data-supported advice on finance, risk, procurement, and commercial matters to guide executive management and governmental stakeholders.
- Establish and uphold rigorous risk, compliance, and procurement frameworks that ensure value-for-money and adhere to NSW Government policies.
- Foster collaborative relationships with NSW Treasury and other key parties to align and optimize whole-of-government initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Proven leadership in senior finance, commercial, or strategy roles, preferably within government or complex organizations.
- In-depth understanding of public sector financial regulations, budgeting, reporting, procurement, and governance.
- Demonstrated expertise in enterprise-wide planning, performance management, and risk oversight.
- Experience managing procurement activities, including contract and vendor oversight.
- Strong capability in stakeholder engagement, influencing at executive levels.
- Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, business, or related discipline, or comparable professional experience.
