Digital - Gen AI Manager

About the Role

EY GDS Assurance Digital is seeking a manager-level AI specialist to shape and deliver innovative, high-impact products using AI research and analytics. In this role, you will help sector and service-line teams turn data into business value by building analytics-enabled solutions and working closely with multidisciplinary teams across the region in support of global clients.

This is a hands-on senior AI engineering position focused on solving business problems with AI techniques, advancing EY’s innovation agenda, and taking solutions from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business challenges into analytical problems and define practical solution approaches.
• Prepare, combine, examine, and interpret data to surface actionable business insights.
• Lead end-to-end AI/ML delivery, including model design, feature planning, testing, deployment preparation, monitoring, and release management.
• Partner with solution architects to move AI proofs of concept into production-ready applications.
• Build solutions using Python and work with open-source models in real-world deployments.
• Develop extraction workflows for complex PDFs, Word documents, and forms, including entity extraction, table extraction, and information comparison.

Requirements

• 10 to 12 years of experience in data science.
• At least a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Operational Research, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong Python development skills with excellent coding ability.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on data science experience across one or more of the following areas: machine learning, large language models, deep learning, natural language processing, or computer vision.
• Experience with ML methods such as regression, classification, decision trees, random forests, time-series forecasting, and clustering.
• Working knowledge of LLM tools and concepts such as OpenAI models, ChatGPT, GPT-4, function calling, LangChain, LlamaIndex, agents, retrieval-augmented generation, and prompt engineering.
• Exposure to open-source LLM ecosystems such as Mistral and Llama, including fine-tuning on custom data sets.
• Knowledge of deep learning architectures including DNNs, RNNs, LSTMs, and encoder-decoder models.
• Understanding of NLP tasks such as summarization, aspect mining, question answering, text classification, NER, language translation, NLG, and sentiment analysis.
• Familiarity with computer vision tasks such as image classification, object detection, and tracking.
• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Ability to deploy APIs and web apps using Flask, FastAPI, or Azure Function Apps, along with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with strong prioritization, organization, flexibility, and self-discipline.
• Demonstrated project management experience.
• Understanding of internal reporting tools and processes.
• Self-directed, proactive, and able to handle multiple tasks while staying organized.
• Strong problem-solving ability with a practical and insightful approach.
• Ability to collect and analyze data quickly from multiple sources.
• Resilient mindset with the ability to encourage disciplined team behavior.
