Role overview
This opportunity is for an experienced DevOps Engineer - AI Trainer who will contribute to the improvement of AI systems through hands-on coding work. You will join a large and active coding community made up of more than 100,000 professionals across front-end, back-end, full-stack, machine learning, and related engineering backgrounds, all helping shape practical AI capabilities.
The role combines technical problem-solving with flexibility. You may be asked to create and resolve coding challenges, develop polished applications with useful functionality, and analyze data to generate insights and visualizations. Your output helps train and refine intelligent systems that continue to learn and improve over time. Some contributors use this as a side activity alongside another full-time job, while others make it their main work and choose projects based on their own availability.
How the process works
After creating an account, you will complete a brief assessment that functions as the screening step. If you are successful, you will receive confirmation by email and paid tasks will be made available through the platform.
Responsibilities
- Create and solve a range of coding tasks used to train AI models, with a focus on Android-related development.
- Produce clean code examples along with clear, detailed explanations.
- Review AI-written code for correctness, efficiency, and readability.
- Share feedback that helps improve future AI model performance.
Qualifications
- Strong command of English at a native or bilingual level.
- Preferred background in Kotlin.
- Ability to work in at least one of these languages or frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift.
- Good writing ability and strong grammar.
- Bachelor’s degree completed or currently underway.
- Prior experience as a software developer, coder, software engineer, or programmer is an advantage.
Compensation and contract details
Pay is hourly, beginning at USD 50 to USD 100+ per hour, with some projects paying more. This is an independent contractor arrangement, and payment is issued through PayPal. Any currency conversion from USD is handled by PayPal. No payment or fee is required from applicants.
Location and eligibility
This role is available only to candidates based in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand. Applicants outside these countries will not have access to assessments or available work on the platform at this time.
