Role Summary

We seek a full-time Detailer to join our production team responsible for completing OPENLANE’s five-step vehicle reconditioning process within Vehicle Logistic Centers.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for auction by executing the reconditioning process adhering to company procedures and service level agreements
• Perform vehicle detailing tasks such as interior cleaning, upholstery care, vinyl dressing, tar and decal removal, vacuuming, shampooing, window cleaning, pre-wash, buffing, and quality inspections
• Occasionally photograph and stage vehicles following detailing
• Inspect workmanship quality prior to advancing vehicles to subsequent reconditioning stages
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace consistently
• Ensure proper upkeep of equipment and facilities by reporting malfunctions or maintenance needs to management
• Promote teamwork and collaborative efforts within the department
• Follow established safety procedures to protect employees and property, including injury reporting protocols
• Perform additional assigned tasks as needed

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Clear drivers’ abstract and criminal background check
• Preferred ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
• Basic proficiency with computers and smartphones
• Prior experience in automotive detailing

Preferred Qualifications

• Between one to three years of automotive detailing experience
