We are currently seeking a Design Engineer specializing in Aerospace Work Package Management related to Jigs & Tools. This role is embedded within a leading aerospace company and involves leading technical packages and supporting international suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and develop fixtures, mounts, and tooling solutions for aerospace manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Produce detailed engineering drawings adhering to specified industry standards.
• Support the tooling department throughout the entire lifecycle including concept development, design, production, and validation.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, production, and engineering teams to deliver practical and efficient designs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback from relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for tool and manufacturing processes.
• Incorporate ergonomic, safety, and usability considerations into all tooling designs.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Essential proficiency in CATIA software.
• Experience in designing fixtures, mounts, and tooling solutions, preferably within aerospace sectors.
• Strong technical and conversational skills in both English and German.

Compensation and Employment Details

This position offers a fixed-term contract with a salary range between 55,000 and 60,000 EUR annually. The exact compensation will be determined based on your professional experience, skill set, and performance throughout the selection process.
