We specialize in robotic automation, welding fixtures, and special purpose machines (SPM), serving as a reliable partner to leading manufacturers.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Design Engineer with around 25 years of practice in designing robotic welding fixtures, Body in White (BIW) fixtures, and special purpose machines. The individual will be responsible for managing the end-to-end design workflow—from conceptualization through to fabrication-ready documentation—utilizing Solid Edge software.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robotic welding fixtures, BIW fixtures, assembly fixtures, and SPMs.
- Produce detailed 3D models, 2D manufacturing, and assembly drawings using Solid Edge CAD software.
- Formulate fixture concepts based on client requirements and product specifications.
- Create comprehensive manufacturing drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and assembly instructions.
- Choose appropriate standard components including clamps, pneumatic cylinders, guide units, sensors, and locators.
- Liaise with manufacturing, assembly, quality assurance teams, and customers throughout project lifecycle.
- Provide assistance during fixture assembly, testing, debugging, and necessary design revisions.
- Ensure designs are feasible, cost-efficient, and meet established project deadlines.
Required Skills and Experience
- Around 25 years of specialized experience in welding fixture design, BIW fixtures, or special purpose machine design.
- Proficient knowledge and hands-on expertise with Solid Edge CAD software.
- Strong understanding of welding techniques and fixture design methodologies.
- Familiarity with pneumatic systems and commonly used off-the-shelf components.
- Skilled in generating BOMs and detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Excellent communication and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to work autonomously and effectively manage multiple simultaneous projects.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Technology or Engineering in any specialization.
