Role Overview
The Demand Planner will oversee demand and supply planning for one or more product categories within LG Electronics' business units. This role ensures alignment of continuous product supply with market demands by forecasting volume, revenue, and product movements while managing procurement. Success in this position requires strong analytical capabilities, effective use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools, and a high degree of urgency and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze sell-in and sell-out forecasting trends and align demand forecasts to reflect current market conditions.
- Review inventory levels and adjust supply plans to maintain targeted safety stock and overall inventory levels.
- Generate purchase orders based on forecasted volumes to facilitate product procurement from factories.
- Identify and troubleshoot supply chain disruptions, realigning forecasts with inbound supply plans as needed.
- Evaluate forecasting, sales capacity, and inventory KPIs to ensure business objectives are met.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly sales and operations analyses for each product group to stakeholders.
- Manage ERP systems by setting operational parameters such as lead times, safety stock levels, product lifecycle timing, and new product introduction schedules.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in product-level forecasting or supply planning within a global sourcing environment.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems, including SAP, Oracle-JD Edwards, or Manugistics.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent prioritization and time management abilities.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
