Delivery Driver

Job Overview

This entry-level position supports the delivery of automotive parts to commercial clients while assisting with inventory and store operations. The role requires a fleet safety certification and involves both driving and in-store responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Safely deliver automotive parts to commercial customers as required
• Pick and prepare parts for customer orders
• Collect returns and core parts from customers
• Distribute weekly and monthly sales flyers
• Perform daily collections from credit accounts

Secondary Duties

• Maintain cleanliness of the store, including floors, bathrooms, displays, and parking areas
• Assist with general stocking activities such as truck and back stock stocking

Success Criteria

• Basic driving skills and navigation competence
• Ability to operate the delivery board system
• Effective and courteous communication
• Capacity to locate and properly stock parts
• Strong safety awareness and practices
• Familiarity with inventory systems and store equipment

Essential Skills

• Clear communication and relationship-building with customers, colleagues, and management
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and manuals
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with various measurements
• Flexibility to work varied days, evenings, and weekends as demanded

Preferred Background

Experience in automotive parts is advantageous.

Licenses and Certifications

A valid driver's license is required.

Physical Requirements

The job entails frequent walking and standing. Employees must be able to talk, hear, use hands and fingers for handling, reach, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequent lifting/moving up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting/moving up to 100 pounds is necessary. Visual abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
