Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Deli Assistant to join our team in Little Island, County Cork. The candidate will be responsible for crafting high-quality hot and cold deli products while prioritizing customer satisfaction. You will demonstrate enthusiasm for fresh food, prepare each order with attention and care, and provide knowledgeable service to inspire customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Embody Centra's core values: Pride, Energy, Imagination, and Community focus.
- Prepare customer orders across all fresh food sections, including making sandwiches, dishing hot food, and slicing meats following portion control standards.
- Cook, prepare, and present food items for sale throughout the day.
- Maintain premium display standards for all fresh food counters at all times.
- Engage customers by sharing food knowledge, recipes, and personal suggestions.
- Handle customer queries promptly and professionally according to store policies.
Candidate Profile
- Strong communication skills.
- Prior experience in customer service is advantageous.
- Capable of working effectively in a team within a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks under pressure.
- A genuine passion for food and inspiring customers.
- HACCP training is preferred but not mandatory.
Additional Information
This is a part-time onsite role based in Little Island. Applicants should be able to work weekends. Start and finish times may vary and are approximate.
