About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Continental Chef De Partie to prepare and cook a variety of continental dishes following standardized recipes to ensure exceptional taste, presentation, and portion sizes. The role involves assisting the Chef De Partie in day-to-day kitchen activities while maintaining strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare continental cuisine including sauces, grills, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, and breakfast items according to company quality benchmarks.
- Maintain consistency in flavor and presentation while controlling portion sizes.
- Support the Chef De Partie with daily kitchen operations and preparation work (mise en place).
- Uphold food hygiene and safety procedures at all times in line with HACCP standards.
- Track inventory levels and promptly report shortages to the Chef De Partie.
- Reduce food waste by ensuring proper storage and handling of ingredients.
- Operate kitchen appliances safely and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior Commis chefs when needed.
- Coordinate with other kitchen teams to ensure smooth service flow during operational hours.
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies.
Skills and Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience specializing in Continental cuisine.
- In-depth expertise in sauces, grills, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, and breakfast dishes.
- Good understanding of food safety practices and HACCP compliance.
- Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage workload under pressure.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- A motivated and responsible attitude with eagerness to learn and take initiative.
