Role Overview

Reporting to the Regional Marketing Manager EMEA for Functional Neurosurgery, the consultant will drive the marketing, sales, and adoption of Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery solutions. Working closely with Brainlab and partner teams, you will deliver exceptional clinical and technical support aimed at optimizing clinical workflow implementation. This role is based from a home office in Dubai, positioned near a major airport to serve the Middle East and North Africa region.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Brainlab’s Functional Neurosurgery portfolio, acquiring deep scientific expertise in deep brain stimulation, epilepsy management, and associated clinical workflows.
  • Lead demonstrations of the Functional Neurosurgery software and platform offerings.
  • Provide on-site consultation and support during surgery, advising physicians and OR personnel to ensure the best patient outcomes.
  • Educate and train physicians, OR staff, Radiology, Biomedical, and IT teams on Brainlab’s Functional Neurosurgery products and services.
  • Collaborate with regional support teams to develop training programs enabling hospital staff to perform in-house training.
  • Organize and conduct training for local teams within the region.
  • Stay updated on developments of Brainlab and competitor Image Guided Surgery products through ongoing research and training.
  • Offer continuous feedback to Product Management advocating clinical and quality improvements.
  • Partner with Brainlab Area Account Managers for local strategic initiatives to increase portfolio penetration.
  • Work jointly with partners on regional strategy concerning the DBS portfolio and implementation of advanced image guided workflows.
  • Support the launch of Image Guided DBS technology.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical stakeholders, monitoring satisfaction and product utilization.
  • Identify and drive clinical marketing initiatives and contribute actively to the regional marketing plan's execution.
  • Contribute to maintaining transparency in the Functional Neurosurgery market.
  • Represent Brainlab at meetings and trade shows to promote Functional Neurosurgery solutions.
  • Travel up to 75% of the time, as required.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or a related medical discipline. Neuroscience background is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in medical technology or medical device sectors.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to understand physician and customer needs and manage field dynamics effectively.
  • Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills in diverse environments including clients and partner representatives.
  • Technical aptitude to grasp complex product solutions and communicate their value clearly.
  • Self-driven, meticulous, capable of making independent decisions.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and within teams while managing shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
