Data Strategy Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Strategy Analyst to join a partner organization based in Ireland. In this fully remote contract role, you will contribute significantly to enterprise-wide data transformation efforts aimed at enhancing data governance, ensuring data quality, and supporting improved strategic decision-making. Working at the nexus of business and technology, you will help develop and implement data governance frameworks, manage data initiatives, and foster sustainable reporting and analytics capabilities within a dynamic international setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering a comprehensive Data Transformation Programme by contributing to data strategy development, governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Manage and coordinate the enterprise data backlog, aligning priorities with overall business aims and program objectives.
• Support the creation of data governance frameworks, including domain ownership models and role definitions.
• Participate in customer data strategy activities by preparing analyses, recommendations, and governance-related documentation.
• Coordinate efforts to enhance data quality and aid the establishment of a sustainable Data Quality Framework.
• Define and validate processes related to reporting, analytics, and operating models that facilitate ongoing delivery and informed decision-making.
• Produce reports, presentations, and documentation for governance forums and strategic program meetings.
• Collaborate extensively with business and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment of data initiatives with organizational priorities.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 7 years of professional experience in Data Strategy, Data Governance, Enterprise Data Management, or related fields.
• Deep understanding of enterprise data governance principles, frameworks, and domain ownership structures.
• Experience in supporting data quality efforts and implementing governance processes.
• Strong ability to oversee project backlogs, set priorities, and manage strategic data initiatives.
• Experienced in engaging with both business and technical cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving aptitude, and documentation proficiency.
• Effective communication skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
• Advanced English language skills.
• Previous involvement with enterprise Data Transformation Programmes is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Customer Data Strategy projects, reporting and analytics operating models, and RACI frameworks is a plus.
• Highly organized, proactive, detail-conscious, and adept at prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously.
