Data Scientist

About the Role

Join SME Careers as a Data Scientist working remotely on an hourly contractor basis. You will be responsible for reviewing AI-generated analytical outputs, code, and model responses, as well as creating high-quality reference solutions and detailed explanations for complex data problems. This position contributes significantly to refining leading AI models used globally across diverse industries by providing expert evaluation and enhancement of AI learning content.

Key Responsibilities

• Create precise and comprehensive prompts and responses across various topics to facilitate AI training.
• Assess and rank AI-generated answers to improve models' accuracy, fluency, and contextual fit.
• Identify potential inaccuracies or biases in models, ensuring reliability and integrity in multiple applications.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
• At least 5 years' experience as a Data Scientist or similar analytical role with involvement in full lifecycle machine learning projects.
• Proficiency in Python and associated libraries for data analysis and machine learning such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
• Strong foundation in statistics, experimental design, and applied probability, including designing and analyzing controlled experiments.
• Practical experience in building, validating, and deploying machine learning models in business or product settings.
• Advanced skills in SQL and working with extensive datasets from data warehouses or data lakes.
• English language proficiency at C1 level or above, capable of articulate quantitative explanations and adherence to detailed instructions.
• Experience with data visualization tools and effective communication of analysis results.
• Previous involvement in AI data training, annotation, or reviewing AI-generated content is highly advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach ensuring quality, reproducibility, and rigorous evaluation of reasoning.

Additional Information

This remote position is hourly-based and contract in nature with no immediate projects assigned. Selected candidates will be prioritized for upcoming opportunities and gain access to a network of expert projects.
