About the Role
Opsium is seeking an insightful and methodical Data Scientist to contribute to our expanding team. In this position, you will leverage data to extract meaningful insights, influence strategic direction, and enhance products. Collaboration with engineering, product, and business teams will be crucial as you transform complex datasets into actionable information that supports measurable improvements.

Key Responsibilities
- Examine extensive datasets to detect trends, patterns, and actionable findings.
- Develop predictive models and machine learning workflows that align with product and business objectives.
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to clarify challenges, establish metrics, and assess results.
- Design and administer experiments including A/B tests and controlled studies.
- Clearly present analysis outcomes via visualizations, dashboards, and reports.
- Collaborate with data engineers to enhance data quality, pipelines, and infrastructure.
- Contribute to establishing and disseminating best practices in data analysis and modeling.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years' experience in data science, machine learning, or statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in Python or R, along with SQL for data handling.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or XGBoost.
- Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and experiment design.
- Competence in data visualization tools like matplotlib, seaborn, or business intelligence platforms.
- Ability to communicate intricate concepts effectively to both technical and lay audiences.
- Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Knowledge of big data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, or dbt.
- Exposure to specialized areas including time series forecasting, natural language processing, or recommendation engines.
- Background in product analytics, marketing analytics, or user behavior modeling.
- Advanced degree in quantitative disciplines like statistics, computer science, or economics.
