Primary Responsibilities
- Play a key role in sophisticated strategic data science initiatives, engaging in problem-solving, algorithm selection and implementation, project support, and ensuring solution accuracy and efficiency.
- Enhance the team's technical workflows and methodologies by organizing efforts, elevating practices, and conducting peer reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders in IT and business units to develop valuable, high-impact solutions through ongoing relationship-building with technical and business teams.
- Maintain a forward-looking approach by keeping abreast of the latest advancements in data science and continuously honing technical expertise.
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 3 years of active data science experience at a respected organization.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in fields such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative domains.
- Demonstrated excellence in data science problem-solving techniques including frameworks like MECE and root cause analysis.
- Strong familiarity with MLOps principles, particularly hands-on experience in complete model development and deployment on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
- Solid foundation in deep learning theories and applications, including transformer architectures, reinforcement learning, AI engineering methods like neural embeddings, large language models, generative AI system building with tools such as LangChain and LangGraph, vector databases, exploratory data analysis, optimization strategies, statistical modeling, and multi-criteria decision analysis.
- Experience with data engineering concepts crucial for data science such as ELT processes, structured data transformation, and database technologies.
- Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and proficiency in data visualization to effectively communicate insights.
- Advanced programming and development capabilities in Python and associated libraries, along with skills in R, SQL, and Shell scripting.
