Role overview
Tata Consultancy Services is hiring a Data Engineer in Singapore for a full-time onsite position.
What you’ll need to do
- Work on ETL and ELT pipelines that support modern data warehousing solutions.
- Build and maintain data platforms using SaaS/PaaS tools such as Snowflake and AWS Redshift, along with open-source technologies like dbt.
- Use programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Java to develop and support data workflows.
- Apply analytical thinking and structured problem-solving to day-to-day engineering challenges.
- Stay adaptable, eager to learn, and open to adopting emerging technologies.
Required background
- A degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
- You should have Snowflake certification at minimum at the SnowPro Advanced: Data Engineer level.
- Professional experience of 3 to 5 years in ETL/ELT and data warehousing is expected.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, AWS Redshift, and similar data engineering tools is important.
- Strong programming fundamentals in Python, SQL, or Java are needed.
- Experience with LLMs, generative AI platforms such as OpenAI, Claude, or Bedrock, or Agentic AI will be considered an advantage.
