Role Overview

The Data Analyst I position at Acorns is integral to the Core Experience team with a concentration on Investing and Banking product lines. The analyst will utilize data to optimize customer journeys, collaborating across Product, Finance, and Operations to maximize feature impact and customer retention. This role also influences the product roadmap through transforming complex data into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Core Experience team to ideate and perform rigorous analysis on product experimentations.
  • Develop and sustain detailed reports and dashboards tailored for Core Experience's Investing and Banking products.
  • Craft and refine complex SQL queries for extracting data from multiple sources to enable in-depth analysis.
  • Leverage Databricks and DBT for transforming raw data into clean, accessible formats for team-wide utilization.
  • Build and manage intuitive Tableau dashboards tracking vital KPIs for investing and banking features.
  • Use Amplitude analytics to assess customer behavior and product performance, identifying opportunities to minimize friction and drive growth.
  • Coordinate with managers and cross-functional teams to prioritize initiatives including new infrastructure and tool development.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of analytics experience, ideally within product development or financial services sectors.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and skilled in data visualization, especially with Tableau.
  • Strong understanding of statistical principles and practical experience with A/B testing and product experimentation.
  • Familiarity with modern data tools such as Databricks, DBT, and product analytics platforms like Amplitude.
  • Ability to convert complex data into clear and persuasive insights for varied stakeholders in Finance and Operations.
  • Passion and motivation to contribute to impactful product development.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to precise delivery under tight deadlines.
