Data Analyst

Job Overview

This position is responsible for establishing the analytical backbone of the product by converting intricate datasets into meaningful insights, dynamic dashboards, and strategic growth plans that influence executive decisions. Collaboration is key as the role works alongside product managers, data engineers, and developers to establish KPIs and uphold data quality standards throughout the company.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable SQL queries, data models, and business intelligence dashboards using platforms like Looker or Tableau to monitor vital business KPIs.
• Conduct detailed A/B testing and cohort analyses to assess new feature performance and enhance user retention processes.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to define telemetry data requirements and ensure accurate instrumentation on mobile and web applications.
• Convert vague product inquiries into well-structured analytical models and deliver clear, data-based advice.
• Automate regular reporting activities and implement data quality monitoring to maintain consistent metric reliability.

Experience and Skills Required

• Between two to four years of professional experience as a data analyst or analytics engineer within a fast-paced technology or SaaS business environment.
• Proficient in advanced SQL techniques including intricate joins, window functions, and optimization for cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Experience with data visualization software like Looker, Tableau, or Amplitude.
• Familiarity with Python or R for data exploration and statistical analysis.
• Desirable: Knowledge of dbt (data build tool), basic workflow orchestration with Airflow, or familiarity with event tracking systems such as Segment.
