Primary Responsibilities

• Engage actively in incident management including reporting, digital forensics, malware examination, and correlating logs.
• Execute vulnerability management processes, conduct application security reviews, and carry out security audits on telecom and IT infrastructures.
• Support red team initiatives to evaluate and strengthen security measures around sensitive and critical infrastructures.
• Monitor network threats consistently and facilitate incident triage and response coordination among Local Security Agencies (LSAs) and other entities.
• Assist in securing networks utilized by Telecom-CSIRT stakeholders and oversee Telecom Security Operation Center (TSOC) activities.
• Coordinate with CERT-In, NCIIPC, CyMAC, NSCS, law enforcement, and other relevant organizations to enable integrated cybersecurity operations.
• Contribute to developing cybersecurity policies, incident response workflows, and standardized reporting templates.
• Organize and participate in capacity-building and training programs for LSAs, emerging professionals, and service providers.
• Offer technical advice for vendor evaluation, contract negotiations, and technology acquisitions.
• Analyze cyber threat intelligence, integrate threat data, and distribute actionable insights.
• Conduct risk analyses ensuring adherence to Telecom Cyber Security Rules 2024 along with other regulatory requirements.
• Continuously track the global threat ecosystem and advocate for improvements in T-CSIRT framework and cybersecurity tools.
• Collaborate across teams in a dynamic setting to maintain a robust cybersecurity posture.

Educational & Professional Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related fields from a recognized institution; MCA is also acceptable.
• At least 4 years of practical experience in vulnerability management, application security, and security audits.

Desired Certifications and Expertise

• Certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, OSCP, CISSP, CISM, or GIAC-compliant credentials.
• Experience in red teaming and securing critical sectors including telecom, government, and financial institutions.
• Telecom/network certifications like CCNA Security and CCNP Security are advantageous.
• Certifications in cyber threat intelligence analysis like CTIA are preferred.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Expertise in incident reporting, forensic analysis, malware study, and log correlation.
• Proficiency with security tools including Wireshark, Nessus, Splunk, ELK Stack, various SIEM platforms, and forensic utilities.
• Hands-on knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs.
• Competence in vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and application security measures.
• Strong analytical aptitude combined with keen awareness of emerging cyber threats and defenses.
• Familiar with incident management procedures and frameworks.
• Ability to coordinate efforts across multiple organizations and agencies effectively.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and mentoring capabilities.
• Capability to perform under pressure within fast-paced operational environments.
• Basic scripting/programming skills (Python and Bash) and understanding of cloud security concepts are favorable for headquarters roles.
