Position Overview
Serve as the face of Tesco by delivering exceptional customer service directly to customers' homes in Swansea. This role goes beyond driving, emphasizing friendly assistance and maintaining high service standards. The job is physically demanding, varied, and largely independent while supported by a management team.
Work Schedule
- Sunday: 18:00 to 23:00
- Monday: 19:00 to 23:00
- Wednesday: 18:00 to 23:00
- Friday: 18:00 to 23:00
- Saturday: 18:00 to 23:00
Key Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery van, trays, and workspace to ensure customer orders arrive in perfect condition.
- Load the van safely and conduct all necessary checks for roadworthiness and reliability.
- Communicate clearly and kindly with customers regarding order modifications, substitutions, or perishable items, offering refunds as needed to maintain satisfaction.
- Handle all products carefully, treating each order with utmost care to uphold quality and trust.
- Deliver orders within the specified time window, providing warm and attentive service to ensure customers feel valued.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a valid UK/EU/EEA driving license held for at least 12 months, with no more than three penalty points.
- Build positive relationships with colleagues to foster a collaborative environment that supports outstanding customer service.
- Be personable and welcoming toward customers and team members.
- Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and remain flexible when facing dynamic situations on the road and in-store.
Benefits
- Minimum guaranteed 16 hours per week with options starting from 12 hours.
- Starting pay of £14.18 per hour, increasing to £15.45 within M25 stores; some locations may provide additional bonuses.
