Job Overview
The Jackson County Commission is inviting applications for the role of Custodian within its Maintenance Department. This position involves maintaining the cleanliness and hygienic standards of county office buildings and their surroundings, directly supervised by the Maintenance Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure sanitary conditions throughout county offices and grounds.
- Perform outdoor maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Manage recycling materials effectively.
- Handle and move heavy items such as furniture and equipment when necessary.
- Operate machinery required for floor care, including stripping, cleaning, and buffing floors.
Compensation and Benefits
The starting wage for this role is $15.34 per hour.
Benefits include participation in State Retirement plans, BCBS health and dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, paid holidays, vacation days, and sick leave.
