Position Overview

Join the winning team of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as a Crew Lead in our Stadium Operations department. Your energetic participation will be crucial in delivering an outstanding fan experience through managing event setups, teardowns, and field maintenance ensuring top-notch stadium conditions for every event.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute event preparations including room and stadium setups, tear downs, facility conversions, field painting, and maintaining the field of play.
• Perform snow removal in winter and grounds upkeep during summer including weeding, cutting, mowing, and operating lawn equipment safely.
• Lead communication, provide clear direction, and coordinate seasonal and hourly staff during events.
• Operate forklifts, loaders, and other necessary equipment efficiently to complete designated tasks.
• Assist in equipment maintenance, upkeep and facilitate training related to operational machinery.
• Undertake additional assignments and projects as directed by management.

Candidate Requirements

• Flexibility to work varied hours including days, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and some holidays in alignment with event schedules.
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-moving environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude, capable of working independently.
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and adaptable to various responsibilities.
• Effective and clear verbal communication skills.
• Physical capability to lift up to 30 pounds and stamina to stand for extended periods.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license for operation of equipment.
• Experience operating and maintaining small engine equipment is advantageous.

Work Schedule and Conditions

This is a full-time, salaried role with schedules centered around event activities primarily taking place in the evenings, holidays, and weekends.
