About Adrastea
Adrastea is a rapidly growing, youth-led nonprofit organization committed to closing the gender gap in aerospace. We collaborate with researchers and experts from prestigious institutions including Harvard, MIT, Oxford, NASA, and Johns Hopkins within aerospace, medicine, research, and policy sectors.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Creative Lead to spearhead the organization's creative and visual strategies. This volunteer leadership role requires an ambitious creative professional who can convert complex scientific and research concepts into engaging visual materials. The role involves close cooperation with our Marketing and Communications Strategy team to translate campaigns and initiatives into impactful visual content.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Adrastea's visual and creative direction.
- Create and design graphics, infographics, presentations, campaigns, and diverse visual assets.
- Effectively interpret complex scientific information into accessible, visually attractive content.
- Partner with the Marketing/Communications Strategy team to develop compelling creative materials that align with strategic priorities.
- Devote approximately 5 to 10 hours weekly with flexibility according to project demands.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in graphic design, visual storytelling, and creating short-form video content.
- Portfolio showcasing previous creative projects is essential.
- Preference for candidates with experience or interest in space-related initiatives.
- Background in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics is advantageous.
- Applicants at the undergraduate level or higher preferred; outstanding high school candidates with exceptional portfolios and proven experience may be eligible.
- Familiarity with design and video tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and CapCut.
- Passion for contributing to a fast-evolving organization and developing initiatives from the ground up.
