What You Will Do
- Prepare and cook meals based on established menus and recipes.
- Make sure food quality, flavor, and presentation align with HCSG standards.
- Follow food safety and sanitation practices while keeping the kitchen tidy and organized.
- Support inventory tracking and supply ordering as needed.
- Provide courteous service and positive interaction with residents, staff, and visitors.
- Handle other tasks assigned by the employer.
What We Are Looking For
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
- Prior experience in cooking or food preparation is preferred.
- Ability to work from recipes and follow dietary restrictions.
- Positive communication style and the ability to work with occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to complete daily work.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for long periods.
- Comfort with repetitive, routine work performed continuously.
- Willingness to work around food products and cleaning chemicals.
- May need to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
- Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification, depending on state or county requirements.
- Residency within the service area is required.
