Overview

CSL Australia is seeking a full-time Cook to join the vessel Osprey, operating on a roster of six weeks on followed by six weeks off. This vessel works within Southern Australia transporting limestone. The Cook will report directly to the Master and is responsible for meal preparation, maintaining the cleanliness of the galley, and managing provisions storage.

Role Responsibilities

• Keep all accommodation areas clean and orderly
• Prepare meals for all crew, providing a varied and nutritionally balanced menu with suitable alternatives
• Adhere strictly to policies and procedures outlined in the Ship Quality System manuals relevant to your duties
• Submit all orders for provisions and supplies to the Master
• Manage victualling and marine store orders while ensuring compliance with the vessel's budget

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Must hold an AMSA Certificate of Proficiency as a Marine Cook
• Possession of a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) is mandatory
• Current AMSA medical certification required
• Certificate of Safety Training is desirable
• Australian citizenship or a valid Australian work visa without restrictions
• Comfortable wearing a respirator while working on deck
