About the Role

RAM Arabia General Contracting is looking for an accomplished Construction Manager to oversee a significant hospital construction project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This leadership role requires a candidate skilled in managing comprehensive on-site construction tasks for healthcare facilities, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, monitoring subcontractor performance, and ensuring project delivery aligning with client expectations, timelines, and strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all construction activities onsite throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supervise Site Engineers, construction supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution.
  • Formulate construction execution strategies and track their adherence to the approved project timeline.
  • Guarantee that all operations comply with approved designs, technical specs, and contractual obligations.
  • Facilitate daily coordination among Project Management, Technical Office, Planning, QA/QC, Procurement, and HSE departments.
  • Evaluate construction progress, analyze results, and introduce corrective actions as needed.
  • Optimize resource allocation including workforce, equipment, and materials.
  • Manage subcontractor compliance related to quality, safety, and schedule.
  • Synchronize Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and HVAC workstreams to maximize efficiency and avoid clashes.
  • Evaluate construction methodologies with the Technical Office.
  • Take part in technical and progress discussions with Clients and Consultants.
  • Address site challenges and technical problems to maintain project objectives.
  • Ensure strict enforcement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols on site.
  • Prepare the site for inspections, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
  • Review completed work prior to consultant inspections and approvals.
  • Compile and submit regular construction progress reports to the Project Manager.
  • Assist in project closeout activities ensuring all pending tasks are finalized timely.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Active membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
  • Professional certifications in Construction Management or Project Management are advantageous.

Experience and Technical Expertise

  • At least 10 years of experience in construction management and execution.
  • A minimum of 7 years specializing in hospital or healthcare construction projects.
  • Proven track record handling large-scale construction sites.
  • Expertise in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing subcontractors.
  • Experience collaborating with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  • Familiarity with Testing, Commissioning, and Final Handover processes.
  • In-depth understanding of Saudi Building Code, Ministry of Health healthcare facility requirements, Civil Defense regulations, NFPA and ASHRAE standards.
  • Knowledge of healthcare construction best practices and QA/QC systems.
  • Competency in interpreting construction drawings, technical specs, and managing subcontractors.
  • Strong grounding in HSE requirements, project testing, commissioning, and handover procedures.

BIM and Digital Construction Experience

  • Experience working with BIM-enabled projects, including multidisciplinary coordination via BIM models.
  • Knowledge of Clash Detection and ISO 19650 standards for BIM information management.
  • Familiarity with Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms.

Software Proficiency

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • AutoCAD.
  • Document management systems such as Oracle Aconex or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Navisworks Manage is a plus.
  • Experience with BIM and CDE platforms is advantageous.

This role is based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
